What to do when your M1 Mac does not render text well on external monitors

I upgrade my trust LG 22″ UltraFine to an Ultrawide 34″ monitor. The text on the new monitor looked absolutely abysmal. Folks on with Dell monitors correctly identified that M1 Macs were forcing YPbPr instead of the RGB color space. The net effect of forced YPbPr is fuzzy looking, blurry text – it causes me eye strain, tearing and headaches.

The solution to this problem is explained by Vladimir Kochkovski. The solution is simple and requires terminal and a text editor.

Bravo Vladimir!
